Heart–Brain Regulation Practice

Heart Coherence at Coherent Hearts

A guided, biofeedback-supported practice for cultivating emotional regulation, nervous system balance, and coherent heart–brain communication.

Heart Coherence is a measurable physiological state in which heart rhythm patterns become smooth and ordered, supporting efficient communication between the heart and the brain. This state is associated with increased emotional regulation, mental clarity, and resilience.

Sessions at Coherent Hearts are informed by HeartMath methodology and supported with the HeartMath Inner Balance™ Coherence Plus biofeedback monitor and app.

How Heart Coherence Is Learned

Clients are guided through heart-focused breathing and attentional techniques while observing real-time coherence feedback. This allows clients to directly experience how breath, focus, and emotional state influence nervous system regulation.

Rather than relying on belief or instruction alone, biofeedback provides immediate, observable information that supports learning through experience.

  • heart-focused breathing techniques
  • recognizing coherent and incoherent states
  • self-regulation through rhythm and attention
  • building confidence in reproducing coherence independently

Heart Coherence sessions are not therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. They are educational and experiential sessions designed to support nervous system regulation and self-awareness through measurable feedback.

How Sessions Work

Sessions are offered as individual, guided instruction. Clients learn foundational coherence techniques and practice them with biofeedback support, allowing skills to be integrated into daily life over time.

Heart Coherence work may be used on its own or as a supportive practice alongside mPower, B.E.S.T., and other coherence-based services.
